Universal Carton for Apple: Apple season is going to start soon in the state of Himachal Pradesh. From next month itself, gardeners will start plucking apples from their orchards and selling them in the market. This season will run till the end of September. Meanwhile, the state government has also started preparations to provide better arrangements to the horticulturists.
Himachal Pradesh’s Horticulture Minister Jagat Singh Negi, who reached Solan, said that the government is committed to provide better arrangements to the horticulturists. He said that the government has made preparations so that the farmers get better price for apples. The Horticulture Minister told that a committee has also been formed for this. In this, along with Horticulture and Agriculture, the Revenue Department has also been added.
‘Apples will be sold per kg’
Horticulture Minister Jagat Singh Negi said that this season apples will be bought on per kg basis. The government has also issued a notification regarding this. Under this notification, apples will be sold only in universal cartons. In such a situation, the gardeners will be able to save themselves from the exploitation of the middlemen. The Horticulture Minister told that the work of apple mandis being prepared in the state before the apple season will also be completed. Before the apple season, Parwanoo, Solan and Shilaru will be ready as apple markets.
‘Responsible officers will not be spared’
At the same time, Horticulture Minister Jagat Singh Negi said that irregularities were found in the HPMC juice plant located in Parwanoo. The department has prepared a report regarding this. The matter is being investigated thoroughly. Strict action will be taken against those officers who are involved in this mess. The government is not in a mood to spare the guilty officers.
‘Horticulture Minister’s retaliation on the Leader of the Opposition’
During this, Jagat Singh Negi retaliated on the statement of the Leader of the Opposition on the 10 guarantees of the Congress government. Jagat Singh Negi said that Leader of Opposition Jairam Thakur has not yet been able to come out of the shock of defeat. They feel that they are still in power, but they are not. Jagat Singh Negi said that the Congress government will fulfill the 10 guarantees given by the Congress. For this, Leader of Opposition Jairam Thakur need not worry.
