Kejriwal government will file case against BJP leaders and officers, know in which case the decision was taken

Saurabh Bharadwaj On Vigilance Department Theft: Saurabh Bhardwaj, Minister of Kejriwal government of Delhi said that it has come to notice through media reports that some leaders of Delhi BJP have made a serious allegation on the ministers of Delhi Government of taking sensitive files from the possession of Vigilance Department on the morning of May 16, 2023. . Saurabh Bhardwaj said that these allegations of BJP leaders are completely false.

He said that the incident of the night of 15 and 16 May 2023 is already in the official records of the government. He said this is based on a letter submitted by Secretary (Vigilance) to the Chief Secretary on May 17, which completely exposes the lies of BJP leaders and some officials.

Serious allegations against BJP leaders

According to the letter that Saurabh Bhardwaj is talking about, the undersigned (Vigilance Secretary) thought that if some papers in the file go missing, it could turn into a very serious matter including a CBI case. That’s why shadow files are created on the lines of seizure of documents by CBI. A shadow file is created by the administrative department and one of the two (either original or shadow file) is handed over to the CBI as per the guidelines of the CVC.

As per the letter, the undersigned instructed Manish (MTS) and Harish Joshi (PA), personal branch staff, to bring the key files from room no.403. Shadow files were created for some files due to exhaustion of toner, shadow files for all other documents could not be created. After that all the main files were kept in the respective cell i.e. 403. The shadow files were with the Secretary (Vigilance). No file was given to the Minister (Vigilance) till 16 May. There is no fault of the staff of the personal branch of Secretary (Vigilance) in this, as they work on the instructions of Secretary (Vigilance). The above incident of shadow file creation was reported by the undersigned only to the Special Secretary (Vigilance) over phone on 16th May at around 8 am.

Due to these incidents, two main points are coming to the fore-

1. It is a matter of written record that on the intervening night of 15th and 16th May 2023 the files in the room of Special Secretary (Vigilance) were accessed by his Senior Secretary (Vigilance). Those files were never shared with any minister of the Delhi government. Till today the same situation remains. Yet Delhi BJP leaders went ahead and tried to tarnish the image of the elected government by alleging corruption and tampering of files. In such a situation, a defamation notice will be sent by the Delhi government to all the leaders and officials of Delhi BJP, because they are involved in giving such false and defamatory statements without any facts or evidence.

2. It is a matter of concern that the CCTV footage of the Delhi Secretariat, which houses the offices of the Chief Minister, all other Ministers and senior officers of the Delhi Government, was so easily given access to a political party. Allowing a political party illegal access to CCTV footage of Delhi Secretariat is a serious administrative lapse. In such a situation, a high-level inquiry will be ordered regarding the role of the Chief Secretary, Administrative Head of Delhi Government and all other concerned officers in this matter.
