Delhi Neeraj Bawana Gang Arrest: The Special Cell of Delhi Police has arrested a person for allegedly supplying illegal weapons to the members of the notorious gangster Neeraj Bawana gang in the national capital. The police gave this information on Saturday (May 27). According to media reports, the accused has been identified as 25-year-old Navneet Hooda, who is a relative of Naveen Bali, an active member of the Neeraj Bawana gang.
In relation to the arrested accused, the police said that Navneet used to lure people to buy weapons by posting videos of them waving weapons on Instagram. Giving information in this regard, DCP Alok Kumar of Special Cell said that there was information about Navneet Hooda’s involvement in supplying arms to the members of Neeraj Bawana gang in Delhi.
The accused was arrested after a month’s effort – DCP
DCP Alok Kumar said that the information was further developed through technical and human monitoring. After efforts for more than a month, Navneet Hooda was arrested from Sector 9 of Rohini on Thursday (May 25). During interrogation, Hooda revealed that he was associated with the Neeraj Bawana gang for the last five years through sharpshooter Naveen Bali.
Criminal cases are already registered against the accused – DCP
Disclosing the supply of arms to the Neeraj Bawana gang, DCP Alok Kumar said, Hooda also disclosed that he provided arms and other logistical support to Naveen Bali and other members of the syndicate. He told that accused Navneet Hooda has claimed to have supplied more than 20 pistols to the gang members. During interrogation, he has also disclosed that he used to buy pistols from a person in Ghaziabad, the officer said. The accused was earlier involved in two criminal cases of attempt to murder and criminal intimidation, which were registered in Delhi and Noida.
