The return of 34-year-old Mohit Sharma to the IPL is no less than an inspiration. When the player auction process was done for the 2022 season, no team made Mohit a part of it. After this, last season he was seen playing the role of a net bowler for the Gujarat Titans team.
Now this season Gujarat decided to make him a part of their main team which has proved to be completely right till now. Mohit has taken a total of 24 wickets in 13 innings so far this season at an average of 13.54. Mohit Sharma currently occupies the third position in the Purple Cap list after Mohammed Shami and Rashid Khan.
After taking 5 wickets in the match against Mumbai, Mohit Sharma said that he considers himself very lucky that he could be able to do so. The way Surya and Tilak were batting. Due to this the pressure was definitely being created on us. But we managed to turn the match completely in our favor by dismissing him.
Mohit also revealed his bowling strategy against Suryakumar
When Suryakumar Yadav was scoring dangerously, Mohit Sharma bowled him and gave Gujarat a big success. Regarding this, Mohit said that he had already decided that he would not experiment much while bowling against Suryakumar. Because if you do not do this then it becomes very easy for Surya to score runs. You only have to pay attention to your line length. If he manages to hit the shot, then you should not be worried because as soon as he is out, you return to the match.
