The Times newspaper reports that hundreds of maths, science and language teachers will be brought to the UK this year from countries like India and Nigeria. There is a plan to expand the recruitment schemes in other subjects as well. Paul Whiteman, general secretary of the UK’s National Association of Head Teachers, told The Times that overseas recruitment is a good solution.
