Indian Premier League 2023: The 16th season of IPL was started on 31 March between Gujarat Titans (GT) and Chennai Super Kings (CSK). Now the final match of this season will also be held between these two teams on May 28 in Ahmedabad. Narendra Modi Will be played in the stadium. After almost 2 seasons, this season IPL was played in its old format. In this, all the teams got a chance to play 7-7 matches on their home ground. Now the Board of Control for Cricket in India has released a special video about the pitch curators, who worked tirelessly throughout the season to deliver a sporting wicket in the match.
In this video released by BCCI, apart from Chief Pitch Curator Ashish Bhowmik, Chief Curator West Zone said that for the first time after Kovid, we were playing in 12 different stadiums. There were 2 new venues in it. I have been in this field for 26 years and all our curators are very experienced. We involve agriculture graduate people with us, who know about the soil better.
Preparing the pitch is an art, in which how much grass should be there, all these nuances matter a lot. Last season matches were held only in Mumbai and Pune and was a very successful tournament. There was a challenge to make this season even more successful. Because at different venues, we had to prepare the pitch accordingly keeping in mind the different soil and temperature. So that the ball does not stop on the pitch and moves forward with better speed.
They BCCI’s team of Pitch Curators has worked tirelessly to provide sporting pitches over the course of the tournament 👍🏻👍🏻
A big thank you to all of them involved behind the scenes in the #TATAIPL

Bounce and pace of Ahmedabad pitch much better
In this video, regarding the pitch of Ahmedabad, the pitch curators told that last season 3 matches were played here. The bounce and pace on the pitch of this stadium is much better than the rest of the stadium. This is seen on very few pitches in India. The final match is expected to be a complete thriller.
