Political storm arose on the date of inauguration- It was informed by the Modi government that PM Narendra Modi Will inaugurate the new Parliament House on 28 May. Since then, regarding the date of May 28, the opposition parties started targeting the Modi government and the BJP. In fact, May 28 is Savarkar Jayanti and opposition parties say that the Modi government has deliberately chosen this day.

Regarding this, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi first targeted PM Modi and said that the President should inaugurate the new Parliament, not the Prime Minister. After this, all the opposition leaders including Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge demanded the President to inaugurate the new Parliament House.
Ruckus on the establishment of Sengol- Sengol will be installed next to the seat of the Speaker of the Lok Sabha in the new Parliament House. BJP has described the establishment of Sengol as historic. The matter reached the Supreme Court The matter had reached the Supreme Court in protest against the inauguration of the new Parliament House. In the petition filed against the program, an appeal was made to the Supreme Court to issue guidelines regarding the inauguration ceremony. However, the Supreme Court refused to hear the petition and dismissed it.
21 political parties announced boycott 21 opposition parties, including the Congress, have decided to boycott the inauguration ceremony of the new Parliament building. All of them believe that the Modi government at the Center has tried to distort history for its political gains.
25 political parties will be included- Amid protests and boycott of the inauguration program of the new parliament, 25 political parties, including members of the NDA, have accepted the invitation to attend the ceremony. Of these, 7 political parties are such that non-NDA parties include BSP, BJD, TDP, Akali Dal, JDS, LJP (Ram Vilas) and YSRCP.

Ashoka Pillar on the roof of Parliament The Ashoka Pillar has been installed on the roof of the Parliament built under the Central Vista Project. On its establishment, the opposition had called the lion aggressive.
