‘What is the need of a new Parliament House if wrestlers…’, Siddaramaiah came in support of the players


New Parliament Building Inauguration: Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, while supporting the wrestlers, has attacked the Center for the inauguration of the new Parliament building. He said on Sunday (May 28), “What is the need of the new Parliament House if it cannot give justice to the protesting wrestlers.” Delhi Police has detained several wrestlers marching towards Parliament.

He further said, “Saddened to know that some wrestlers demanding justice have been detained. We Indians should stand by them and raise our voice for them. They have made every Indian proud by winning medals for us and we They should be proud of him.”

Inauguration of new parliament and demonstration of wrestlers

Actually, PM Modi has inaugurated the new Parliament in Delhi today (May 28). On the other hand, the wrestlers protesting at Jantar Mantar had called a women ‘mahapanchayat’ and were about to march towards the Parliament. Vinesh Phogat, Sakshi Malik and Bajrang Punia broke through the security cordon new parliament building On this, the police took them into custody on charges of violation of law and order.

The police had warned the wrestlers not to go towards the Parliament, but they went ahead after which the clash took place. Renowned wrestlers of the country resumed their agitation on April 23 demanding the arrest of Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh, the head of the Wrestling Federation of India (WFI). Brij Bhushan has been accused of alleged sexual harassment of several female wrestlers, including a minor.

Congress attacked the center

After the women wrestlers were taken into custody, the Congress launched a scathing attack on the central government, saying, “After the completion of the coronation, the arrogant king is crushing the voice of the public on the streets.” In fact, former Congress President Rahul Gandhi. In an apparent reference to Prime Minister Modi inaugurating the new Parliament building, he tweeted, “The coronation is complete – the arrogant king is crushing the voice of the people on the streets.” Congress general secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra alleged, “The government is mercilessly trampling the voices of women sportspersons under their boots.”
