20 opposition parties had boycotted the ceremony
About 20 opposition parties boycotted the program of the inauguration ceremony of the new Parliament House to be held by the Prime Minister. Several opposition parties also criticized PM Modi and compared the inauguration to the coronation of an emperor. During the inauguration ceremony, PM Modi installed ‘Sengol’ in the Lok Sabha chamber of the Parliament.
