Mumbai News: The Mumbai Police on Monday imposed prohibitory orders till June 11, banning movement or unlawful assembly of five or more people to prevent breach of peace, an official said. The prohibitory order states that gathering of five or more people, use of loudspeakers and loud sound devices, musical groups and bursting of firecrackers, processions have been banned. However, some activities have been exempted during this period.
According to the order of the Mumbai Police, people have been given permission to attend marriage ceremonies, apart from this, people have also been given permission to attend funerals. According to the order, people will also be able to attend the meetings of companies, clubs, cooperative societies.
There will be exemption on these activities as well.
According to the order, people will be allowed to go to see films, plays or performances in or near cinema houses, theaters or any place of public entertainment and assembly of people in the vicinity of school, college. Being is also exempted.
Likely to cause breach of the peace and damage to public property
The order issued by the police states that on the basis of information received from various sources, there is apprehension that an attempt may be made to disturb the peace in the city, besides there is a grave threat to human life as well as loss of public properties. . This order has been issued by Vishal Thakur, DCP, Operations, Mumbai Police. An official told that this is a routine preventive order which is issued by the Mumbai Police at regular intervals. The order will be applicable in the entire Mumbai city from 12 midnight of 28 May to 12 midnight of 11 June.
