There will be a satyagraha of women wrestlers.” Malik had said, “If we can win medals on foreign soil, we will not stop without winning the fight on our own soil.”

Wrestlers were protesting at Jantar Mantar since April 23

Significantly, on April 23, the top wrestlers had resumed their agitation demanding the arrest of Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh. Brij Bhushan has been accused of alleged sexual harassment of several female wrestlers, including a minor. Delhi Police has registered two FIRs against him.

Union Sports Minister Anurag Thakur said in a program on Monday that an FIR has already been registered on the allegations of wrestlers as per the instructions of the Supreme Court.
