HP News: In the first meeting of the House of Municipal Corporation Shimla, there was an uproar when Shimla MLA Harish Janartha (MLA Harish Janartha) raised the issue of getting salary of SEHB employees sitting at home. In fact, in the first monthly meeting of the Congress-ruled Municipal Corporation, BJP councilor Saroj Thakur raised questions on the cleanliness in the ward. He told in front of the house that even the drains are not being cleaned in his ward. The officers of the Municipal Corporation (MC Shimla) also do not listen to the complaints. In such a situation, people are facing a lot of trouble. Similarly, BJP corporators Bittu Kumar Pana and Asha Sharma also raised the issue of staff shortage. On this, MLA Harish Janartha asked the health officer for the report of the employees.
The health officer told the MLA that about 900 workers are engaged in the cleaning system. On this, the MLA said that at least 300 of these employees are taking salary for free and these employees do not come to work. Many employees are working in cells of opportunities. Not only this, some employees are getting salary while sitting at home. He has asked the Municipal Corporation to get it investigated and recover it. Instructions have been issued to prepare a list of such employees in the next meeting of Shimla Municipal Corporation.
Efforts to bring employees to state cadre
Similarly, MLA Harish Janartha also raised the issue of Transfer of MC Shimla Employees working at the same place for a long time. He said that it is necessary to transfer the employees to bring quality in the work. Apart from this, during a conversation with the media, he also said that he is trying to bring the employees of Municipal Corporation Shimla into the state cadre, so that the employees can be transferred to other places as well. He said that with this even the best officers would be able to render their service at other places and the general public of the entire state would be benefited by this. Significantly, Rural Development Minister Anirudh Singh, Public Works Minister Vikramaditya Singh and Shimla City MLA Harish Janartha are associate members of Municipal Corporation Shimla.
