India has been acting as the growth engine of the global economy for the last few years. Such opinion has been expressed many times on forums like IMF to WEF. It is often said that the coming years and decades are going to belong to India. Now Vedanta Group Chairman Anil Agarwal has also jumped into this debate.
remain active on social media
Anil Agarwal, a veteran entrepreneur in the metal and mining sector, believes that India can become a superpower, but some work needs to be done for this. Aggarwal, who is very active on social media, expresses his opinion on various issues with impunity. This time he has talked about economic reforms in India. He mentioned GST prominently in this episode.
Aggarwal said this in praise of GST
GST is counted among the major recent reforms in India. Talking about the new indirect tax regime, Anil Agarwal says, As an Indian, I am proud of how GST has changed the way business is done in our country! I am looking for more such revolutionary ideas. It is also heartening to see how in both digital and retail business, be it new or old generation… everyone has adopted ‘+GST’ easily.
Firm decision is the need of the hour
The Vedanta chairman advocates for such major reforms in the future as well. He says that we should pursue such transformative reforms, which can make the way easier for start-ups, entrepreneurs and small businessmen. Democratic country is built on the shoulders of businessmen, so we should give them wings to fly. Speed is most important to match other countries of the world – taking firm decisions is the need of the hour. He wrote asking people a question, is there any such reform in your opinion, which will help India to become a global manufacturing powerhouse?
