Robin Uthappa Wrestlers Protest: For the past one month, wrestlers were protesting at Jantar Mantar regarding their demands. But last Sunday (May 28) the Delhi Police removed the protesting wrestlers from Jantar Mantar. During the removal of the demonstration, many such scenes were seen in which the police were dragging the clothes. Seeing all this, former Indian player Robin Uthappa expressed grief over the wrestlers.

Uthappa tweeted and said that I am saddened to hear what happened to our clothes. Apart from this, he said that there must be some peaceful way to suggest this matter. Robin Uthappa tweeted, “Saddened to hear about what is happening to our wrestling heroes. I am sure there is a better way to address this peacefully.” I pray that it happens soon.

Let us tell you that the wrestlers have been protesting against Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh, President of the Indian Wrestling Federation, for the last one month. Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh has been accused of sexual harassment by many female wrestlers. Due to this, the wrestlers protesting at Jantar Mantar were forcibly removed and many wrestlers including Sakshi Malik, Vinesh Phogat and Bajranj Punia were detained. However, he was released again.

Anil Kumble has also expressed grief

Let us inform that earlier, former Indian player Anil Kumble had expressed grief over the wrestlers. Regarding the treatment meted out to the wrestlers, Anil Kumble tweeted, “I am disappointed to hear about what happened to the misbehavior with our wrestlers on 28th May. Anything can be resolved through proper conversation. Hope for a solution at the earliest.”
