Ashneer Grover got a shock, Delhi High Court did not give relief, it is a case of fraud of 80 crores

BharatPe Fraud Case: The Delhi High Court has today given a major blow to Bharat Pe’s former Managing Director Ashneer Grover and his wife Madhuri Jain Grover. The court has refused to stay the probe into the alleged Rs 80 crore fraud in the company. It is worth noting that fintech company Bharat Pe had lodged an FIR in a police station in Delhi accusing Ashneer and his wife Madhuri Grover of embezzlement of Rs 80 crore. After this, Grover filed a petition in the Delhi High Court demanding a stay on the investigation against him.

What is the whole matter?

The Economic Offenses Wing of Delhi Police had last month registered a case against Ashneer Grover, his wife Madhuri Grover and some family members. Bharat Pay had accused Ashneer and his family members of embezzlement of Rs 80 crore. The names of Deepak Gupta, Suresh Jain and Shwetank Jain are also included in this FIR. The related FIR has been registered under section 406 (criminal breach of trust), section 467 and 460 for forgery, section 420 cheating as well as a total of eight sections. If the charges are proved in these sections, the punishment can be from 10 years to life imprisonment.

The court had advised to exercise restraint

Ashneer Grover and Bharat Pe, who were judges of Shark Tank India, have been making many allegations against each other for a long time. After this, the court advised both the parties to exercise restraint on this matter and asked them to refrain from making any statement on social media. In such a situation, the Delhi High Court’s decision not to stay the investigation can increase the difficulties of the Grover couple.
