BCCI preparing to give a big blow to PCB, Asia Cup will be played without Pakistan

Asian Cup 2023: The dispute between the Board of Control for Cricket in India and the PCB is not taking the name of stopping this year’s Asia Cup. The BCCI has made preparations to give a big blow to the Pakistan Cricket Board. BCCI has made a plan to organize Asia Cup without Pakistan. Earlier, BCCI had rejected the hybrid model of PCB.

Actually, this year the Pakistan Cricket Board has the right to host the Asia Cup. The whole controversy has started regarding this matter. Due to security issue with Pakistan, BCCI has refused to send its team. After this, the PCB, taking out the hybrid model, gave India the option of conducting the matches at neutral venues. But the BCCI rejected this model as well.

According to the Telegraph report, the rest of the teams participating in the Asia Cup are ready to play without Pakistan. The Asia Cricket Council has made preparations to organize the tournament in Sri Lanka. If Pakistan has to participate, it will have to play in Sri Lanka only. If Pakistan does not accept this option, then it will have to stay out of the Asia Cup.

Controversy reached the World Cup

The Asia Cup controversy has reached the ODI World Cup to be held in India this year. There is a constant threat from Pakistan that if India does not play the Asia Cup on its soil, then it can boycott the World Cup. However, on behalf of the ICC chairman, the Pakistan Cricket Board is being instructed to take such a step. If PCB chooses this option then it may have to face strict action from ICC.

PCB Chief Najam Sethi’s attitude has also softened regarding playing the World Cup. The PCB chief has now left the entire issue to the Government of Pakistan. Najam Sethi says that if the government of Pakistan gives permission, then his team will go to India and become a part of the World Cup.
