The police gave this information on Thursday. Police said that the incident took place on Tuesday night in Mota village of Palanpur taluka. He told that the victim and her mother are currently undergoing treatment in a hospital. The victim’s mother was also assaulted by the accused.

FIR registered against the accused
He said that based on the complaint lodged by the victim Jigar Shekhalia, an FIR was registered against seven people. It has been alleged in the FIR that the accused thrashed him and his mother as they were angry with him for wearing nice clothes and wearing spectacles.

It has been said in the complaint that on Tuesday morning when the victim was standing outside his house, one of the seven accused came to him. He abused the victim and threatened to kill her, saying that he was “flying too high these days.” Police said that the same night when the complainant was standing outside a temple in the village, six accused from the community (surname Rajputs) came towards him. The accused, with sticks in their hands, asked him why he was wearing clothes and glasses. They then thrashed him and dragged him behind a dairy parlour.

The accused tore the woman’s clothes
Police, citing the complaint, said that when her mother ran to save her, she was also assaulted and threatened with death. Gave. They also tore his mother’s clothes. The Garh police have registered a case against the seven accused under sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) for rioting, unlawful assembly, outraging the modesty of a woman, voluntarily causing hurt, using abusive language, etc. An FIR was lodged at the police station.

No one has been arrested so far
Police said that a case has also been registered against the accused under relevant sections of the Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes (Prevention of Atrocities) Act. The police officer said that no one has been arrested in connection with the incident so far.
