In fact, Indian-American man Taral Patel has announced to serve as Fort Bend County Commissioner for Precinct-Three in Texas in 2024.
Indian-American policy expert Taral Patel has announced his candidacy on Twitter. Patel has served as the former chief of staff to Fort Bend County Judge KP George. He has shared a video announcing his candidature.

Posting a video on Twitter, he wrote, “I’m announcing my campaign for Fort Bend County Commissioner. Together, we can move past the divisive politics we see in the news. We can build a strong, diverse community.” We can build a more united Fort Bend.”
Patel has worked in the White House
According to local media reports, Patel has been a strong contender for the seat of Republican Commissioner Andy Meyers as the Democratic Party’s candidate for a long time. Patel has previously worked in Biden’s White House Liaison Office. Apart from this, he has worked in housing, urban development and disaster control matters. Patel also served as the Director of Finance in the Public Integrity Section of the Crime Division of the Department of Justice.
Raised in Fort Bend County, Taral Patel completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Texas. Patel’s parents are from India, who settled in the US in the 1980s. While studying at the University of Texas and Houston, Patel ran a small business.
