Now the President of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and former Chief Minister of Punjab province Parvez Elahi has been arrested. He was detained on Thursday from outside his house in Lahore. The officials of the Anti-Corruption Department have taken this action on him.
PTI chairman Pervez Elahi was arrested outside his Zahoor Elahi residence in Lahore. This was confirmed by his party spokesperson. According to Dawn.com, Elahi was detained when he was leaving his house. The PTI spokesperson alleged that the officials also “misbehaved” with the women accompanying Elahi.

After the arrest of Parvez Elahi, Gauhar Bano Qureshi, daughter of PTI Vice President Shah Mahmood Qureshi, has said that her father is a member of the party and Imran Khan Were, are and will be with. In a video message, Gauhar said that she had gone to meet her father at Adiala Jail in Rawalpindi and specifically asked him to convey his above message to the public.
Elahi was wanted in corruption case
According to the report of Geo News, Punjab’s Acting Information Minister Aamir Mir said that Elahi was wanted in a corruption case. He was running away from his residence when the police intercepted his vehicle and took him into custody. He further claimed that Elahi resisted during his arrest but the police managed to arrest him.
