Parvez Elahi: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman and former chief minister of Punjab province Pervez Elahi was arrested again soon after his release. He was arrested again outside a district court in Lahore. The PTI leader was arrested again in a corruption case registered against him in Gujranwala by the Anti-Corruption Establishment (ACE) Punjab.
According to the report of Geo News, Elahi is being taken to Gujranwala. Where he will be produced in the Anti-Corruption Court on Saturday (June 03). According to the report, two cases of corruption worth billions of rupees are registered against Elahi in Gujranwala and Gujarat.

PTI has reacted to Parvez Elahi being detained again. PTI claims that Elahi is being forced to leave the party. This is the reason why fake cases are being filed against them. Significantly, earlier, Elahi was arrested by the Anti-Corruption Establishment (ACE) officials from near his residence on Thursday. Then on Friday the district court of Lahore acquitted Elahi.
No strong evidence against Elahi
In the case of Elahi’s arrest, the court accepted that there was no concrete evidence against him. That’s why they should be released immediately. The court said that there is a need for investigation and inquiry before making any allegations against the accused. The PTI leader is also not involved in any other criminal case. However, the court said that the investigating agency can arrest him again after getting evidence.
