PM Modi US Visit: Prime Minister Narendra Modi (PM Modi) will address a joint meeting of the US Parliament on 22 June during his visit to America. America said that it is an honor for us to invite PM Modi to address the joint meeting. Actually, US President Joe Biden has invited PM Modi to America for an official visit.

On Friday (June 2), a joint statement from the United States House of Representatives and the United States Senate said that it would be a matter of pride for us to have PM Modi address the US Parliament. The partnership between the two countries is growing steadily. During this, PM Modi will speak about his vision for the future of India and the global challenges facing both the countries.

President Joe Biden will host PM

The statement was signed by Speaker of the House of Representatives McCarthy, Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer, Senate Republican Leader Mitch McConnell and Democratic Leader of the House of Representatives Hakeem Jeffries. President Joe Biden will host Prime Minister Modi on his official visit to the US, which will also include a state dinner on 22 June.

Will address the US Parliament for the second time

This is the second time when PM Modi will address the joint session of the US Parliament. PM Modi had earlier addressed a joint session of the US Parliament in 2016. The Central Government had said in a statement that PM Modi would go to America on the invitation of President Joe Biden and First Lady Jill Biden. This will be Modi’s sixth visit to the US since taking over as PM in 2014. The two leaders had also recently met at the G7 and Quad summits in Hiroshima, Japan in the month of May.
