According to a report in The Guardian, Salman Rushdie said that he is trying to write a book about the attack on him. This book will contain everything that I experienced during and after the attack. He said that the book will mention what happened and what it means. What an impact this attack had on me as well as on the people around me.
The book will be based on the attack
The award-winning author said there would be a short book based on the attack on me. It will be only a few hundred pages. Although it is not an easy thing for me to write it. While writing this, I have to go back to my past many times. Many times remembering that incident, I get lost somewhere in it.
Were seen at a function in New York
Salman Rushdie made a public appearance on May 18 at a function in New York after nearly nine months. During his address in the program, he said that it is pleasant to come back while addressing the program. I am very happy that I am present among all of you. There was also a possibility of not coming back the way what happened to me.
Significantly, in August last year, Rushdie was attacked with a knife in New York, in which he also lost the sight of one eye. After this incident, Rushdie was seen attending the annual event of PEN America in New York City.
