Will Ashok Gehlot stop PM Modi in Rajasthan with the help of free politics?

Rajasthan Elections: Not even a day passed after Prime Minister Modi landed in the battle of Rajasthan that Ashok Gehlot started realizing the power of the name Modi. Rajasthan CM Ashok Gehlot heard the full speech of PM Modi. After this, the box of promises and claims started opening. In a tweet from the Twitter handle of Chief Minister Gehlot, it was said that the people of Rajasthan are going to get a gift. 100 units of free electricity was announced. All surcharges up to 200 units have been abolished.

Ashok Gehlot wrote on Twitter, “The electricity bill of those who consume electricity up to 100 units per month will be zero. They will not have to pay any bill as before. Families who consume more than 100 units per month will also be given the first 100 units of electricity free of cost. No matter how much the bill comes, no electricity charges will have to be paid for the first 100 units.”

BJP attacked on the announcement of free electricity
When CM Gehlot announced free electricity late at night, the current of politics ran in the morning. BJP became the aggressor. Said that there are promises of the election season. People were worried, so why didn’t the announcement be made earlier.

Rajendra Rathore, Leader of the Opposition in the Rajasthan Legislative Assembly, said, “In the name of inflation relief, magicians want to spread confusion like Chief Minister Indrajal. Gehlot is trying to fumigate his lost base by making such announcements.”

But CM Gehlot’s confidence is high. Now he has followed the model like Karnataka where promises and claims were made. Congress’s bet in Rajasthan is also on the old pension scheme. In a statement, Gehlot said, “Social security is our main subject, on which we are giving pension to the people. We have requested the Prime Minister to pass a law in Parliament regarding social security across the country. These are the beneficiaries of OPS. Whose happiness the BJP wants to snatch.”

it’s an election year
Assembly elections are to be held in Rajasthan this year. BJP has started its campaign and the response to PM Modi’s rally was also good, but on the other hand there is Gehlot who is trying to count the achievements of his government as a cut off PM Modi and Pilot factor.

Rajasthan had implemented the old pension scheme in March 2022 and now pressure is being put on the central government to implement it across the country. That is, Gehlot has now made a strategy to make government schemes a tool for solving political equations.
