Telangana Formation Day 2023: Chief Minister of Telangana K. Chandrasekhar Rao has extended best wishes to all the people of the state on the auspicious occasion of the 10th Foundation Day celebrations. On this occasion, in his address at a program organized at the Telangana Secretariat, the Chief Minister said that Telangana today stands at the beginning of a decade. Let us celebrate 60 years of struggle and ten years of progress, he said. May we be a great inspiration for future progress. The Chief Minister said that we have to achieve more heights and reach the highest peak.
Chief Minister KCR said that since the formation of Andhra Pradesh in 1956, when Telangana was merged with Andhra region against the will of the people, the people of Telangana have continuously expressed their disapproval. In the elections held in 1971, public opinion may have come out in support of the demand for a separate Telangana, but the central government of that time did not respect it. The movement started in 2001, breaking that depression and despair. My life was blessed to have the historic role of leading that movement.

CM KCR said that intellectuals, educated people, working teachers, poets, artists, workers, farmers, students and women, who played a major role in this movement, agitated unitedly, regardless of caste and religious differences. Today, on the occasion of the centenary celebration, I pay my respects to all of them. Emotional tribute to the martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the achievement of Swarashtra.
Participate enthusiastically in festivals- CM
The CM said, “The BRS government, since coming to power in 2014, is dedicated to fulfilling the wishes of the immortals and the aspirations of the people. The 10th Telangana State Formation Day celebrations will be celebrated for 21 days from today. I request all I request you to participate enthusiastically in these festivals being held across the state from the village level to the capital.”

Chief Minister KCR said that he had made a promise as the Chief Minister of the state on 2 June 2014 in the meeting held at Parade Ground. On that day, I assured the people that I will shape Telangana in such a way that the nation will learn from Telangana state and it will be a benchmark for India. In just a span of nine years, Telangana has become an inspirational state across the country in many fields.
three years wasted in corona epidemic
The CM said, “If we compare the conditions of those days with today’s conditions during the decennial celebrations of the state’s birth, our achievements are astonishing. Out of the nine years of formation of Telangana state, almost three years were wasted due to the corona pandemic.” And in a short span of six years, Telangana has reached the pinnacle.
Telangana recorded 155 percent growth
KCR said that in the year 2014, the per capita income of Telangana was only 1,24,104. Due to the progress of Telangana government, today the per capita income of our state has increased to Rs.3 lakh 17 thousand 115. Just ten years old, Telangana is better than the big states of the country in terms of per capita income. In 2014 the GSDP value of the state was only Rs 5,05,849 crore, but today the GSDP of the state has increased to Rs 12,93,469 crore due to the financial support from all sectors of the state. That is, despite the crisis like Corona and demonetisation, Telangana has registered a growth rate of 155 per cent.
The Chief Minister said that today there is no power cut in Telangana. Telangana ranks first in the country in terms of per capita power consumption. All the barren land of Telangana has become agricultural land with the upliftment of river water.
