Rajasthan News: The Rajasthan government has removed the Rs 3,000 crore Annapurna Food Packet Yojana from the Food and Supplies Department and given it to Confed. Regarding this, Pratap Singh Khachariyawas, the cabinet minister of the government, is questioning the functioning of the bureaucracy of his own government. During the conversation with ABP Live, Khachariawas even said that the officials doing illegal work will go to jail.
‘Whoever did wrong will pay the price’
In response to a question, Khachariawas said, ‘It is wrong to transfer the project worth Rs 3,000 crore from the Food and Supplies Department to Confed. Not only wrong, but also illegal. After the announcement, our department had received Rs 1,000 crore. Some officials of the Finance Department rotated the file. There is nothing wrong with my department. When the consumer puts his thumb impression, then only he gets the wheat. Otherwise the wheat goes back. There is no chance of error in this. The officers have changed the department and worked against the assembly. I am telling this today. Big action will be taken against many officers. Many officials working according to the rules of the assembly will go to jail. I was also preparing to make a nodal agency, but I don’t have any sign anywhere. The one who does the wrong thing, will also bear the brunt.
Is the bureaucracy dominating the Rajasthan government?
In response to this question, the cabinet minister said that there is no doubt in this. I myself was amazed by the way the officers have done this work. When our department got the work from the assembly, it was not possible to change it. But instead of our department, CONFED was given the task of distributing the kits. There are already allegations of corruption on Confed. ED and CBI are already sitting, investigating. I am thinking that who is such a great officer or person, for whom this work was done bypassing the rules. I have written a letter to the Chief Secretary. When action is taken against the officers who are jumping, then what will happen will be known. Some such things happen, which cannot be told in front of the media. But this is a very serious matter. CONFED is already under investigation. Confed is already on target. What happened that the officers had to change the department itself? Many times in politics a person feels that what I am doing is right. But that would not have been right.
Was this done to weaken Khachariawas?
On this question, he said that this happens many times in politics. In response to another question, he said that according to the rules, ministers have the right to write ACRs of IAS officers, but why is the CMO office writing their ACRs? At that time some ministers had said that we are writing ACRs ourselves, but I know who is writing how many ACRs? There is no direct election of PM, CM in the country. The MPs and MLAs choose the Prime Minister and the Chief Minister. In such a situation, democracy cannot be strengthened by weakening the legislators.
