World leaders express grief over Odisha train accident, show big heart for India


Odisha Train Tragedy: Odisha train accident has shocked the whole world including India. Condolences have poured in from all over the world for the victims of the accident. Leaders from all over the world including Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida and Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau have expressed deep condolences on this horrific train accident.

A horrific train accident took place in Balasore, Odisha on Friday evening, in which Coromandel Express, Bengaluru-Howrah Express train and a goods train collided with each other. So far 288 people have died in this accident and more than 900 passengers have been injured. Countries around the world including Taiwan, Canada, Australia, Russia, Japan and Pakistan have expressed grief over this accident.

Japan’s Prime Minister Kishida sent a condolence message to the Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi, in which he said that ‘I am deeply saddened by the news of the death and injuries of many people in the train accident in Odisha. On behalf of the Government of Japan and its people, I express my condolences to the families of those who lost their lives in the accident and pray for the recovery of the injured.

British PM also expressed grief

British PM Rishi Sunak has also tweeted about this incident. He wrote, “My thoughts and prayers are with Prime Minister Narendra Modi and those affected by the tragic events in Odisha. My deepest condolences to the families and friends of those who lost their lives. Also to the survivors and those engaged in relief work.” I have my hearty support.

Canadian PM also reacted

Canadian Prime Minister Trudeau said that the people of his country are standing with the people of India in this difficult time. He said, “The pictures of the train accident in Odisha are disturbing. I am sending my deepest condolences to those who have lost loved ones and I am praying for the injured.”

Prime Minister of Nepal expressed grief

Nepal’s Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ also expressed grief over the loss of lives in the Odisha train accident. Nepal PM’s office tweeted, “I am saddened by the death of dozens of people in a train accident in Odisha, India. I Prime Minister Narendra Modi And express my deepest condolences to the bereaved families.

Taiwan’s President Sai Ing Wen tweeted, “Praying for all those affected by the train accident in India. I express my deepest condolences to the victims and their families and hope that the rescue operation can save all those in need.”
