P Chidambaram on Modi Government: Senior Congress leader and former Finance Minister P Chidambaram has expressed a strong reaction against the Modi government while participating in the India Today Conclave South 2023 on Saturday (June 3). He said in open words, the Center led by the Bharatiya Janata Party is moving towards ‘One India’ in which the main principle is ‘Centralism’. On this occasion, Chidambaram also spoke openly on Rahul Gandhi’s statement on the Muslim League and the boycott of the new Parliament House.
Attacking the Modi government, former Finance Minister Chidambaram said that BJP is running with the agenda of One India. One Nation, One Ration Card, One Passport, One Culture, One Language has been made a motive which is not correct at all. He said, it is completely based on centralism in which the states are seen and considered less than the centre. Emphasizing his point, Chidambaram said, this One India is completely different from our United India.
Chidambaram spoke on Rahul Gandhi’s Muslim League
On this occasion, Chidambaram was asked about Rahul Gandhi’s statement in America in which he mentioned the Muslim League. Former Finance Minister said, I know the structure of Muslim League of Kerala and Tamil Nadu very well. I know many leaders of Indian Union Muslim League in Tamil Nadu who are completely safe. Here he made it clear that he did not know about the Muslim League abroad.
P. Chidambaram on the new Parliament House

Chidambaram on decision to demonetise Rs 2000 notes
Apart from this, former Finance Minister Chidambaram while speaking on RBI’s announcement to withdraw 2000 rupee notes from circulation said, it was the right decision to rectify the mistake made in a stupid manner. During this, he taunted the Modi government and said, before taking any decision, any government must think that someday someone else will sit on this throne.
