UP News: A major negligence of government employees has again come to the fore in Uttar Pradesh. This time a 70 year old woman is facing the brunt of the negligence of the employees. Actually, 70-year-old Shanti Devi was declared dead in government papers, while she is still alive. Being declared dead, Shanti Devi has been visiting government offices for the last eight years to prove herself alive.
Woman declared dead on government papers, Shanti Devi claimed, "After being declared dead, my daughter and son-in-law have got my five bighas of land in their name." Regarding this problem, a 70-year-old woman had reached the Public Grievance Camp on Saturday on Sampoorna Samadhan Divas. The woman is a resident of Tandera, Muzaffarnagar. He once again appealed to the authorities in the public grievance camp to give him a certificate that he is alive.
Daughter and son-in-law got the land in their name
According to the English newspaper The Times of India – the woman told in the complaint, "My husband Ram Babu passed away eight years ago. He had 28 bighas of agricultural land. Out of this, I gave 23 bighas of land in the name of my daughter and kept the remaining five bighas of land along with the house with me. But after being declared dead in the government papers, my daughter and son-in-law also got five bighas of land in their names."
The victim woman told, "They harass me and want to throw me out of the house. They refuse to give me food. I have been visiting government offices for the last eight years but no one is ready to listen. After the death of my husband, there was some money in his account, that too daughter and son-in-law have withdrawn."
In the report, quoting Shanti, it was claimed that even the Patwari of the village is not listening to them in this matter. The victim said, "Patwari is helping him by taking money from son-in-law. This case is still lying with the Tehsildar." On the other hand, Nayab Tehsildar said in this regard on Sunday, "The woman has come to me for the first time and we have ordered an inquiry into the matter."
