Fake Ghee and Butter Factory Busted in Noida: Noida Police has busted a fake Ghee and Butter factory. The accused used to pack and supply spurious ghee and butter in wrappers of a reputed company. The team of Police and Food Department jointly raided and arrested five people. Five quintals of fake ghee and one lakh wrappers of a well-known company have also been recovered from the spot. Phase 3 police had received information that a large number of butter and ghee packing work is going on in Sector 70 by taking houses on rent. The police, along with the team of the Food Department, raided the factory manufacturing spurious ghee and butter.
Fake ghee and butter factory busted
The sudden raid created a stir on the spot. Taking advantage of the opportunity, six people fled. During the action, the police arrested five people. During interrogation, it was revealed that the accused used to bring poor quality butter and ghee from Delhi and sell it in wrappers of a reputed company. The maximum supply used to be with street vendors in Noida. It is being told that 4-5 quintals of ghee and butter was supplied in a month. In the raid, five quintals of spurious ghee and one lakh wrappers of a well-known company have been found by the police.
Street hawkers used to have supplies
Police has started searching for the six absconding accused. DCP Central Rambadan Singh said that on receiving the information, five people were arrested by raiding the house in Sector 70. Six people have managed to escape from the spot. The accused used to sell cheap butter and ghee packed in wrappers of a reputed company. Fake ghee and butter worth lakhs of rupees has been recovered from the spot. Food Inspector Shamshul said that the accused were making fake ghee and butter for the last 5 months. Used to buy poor quality butter and sell it by packing it in wrappers of branded companies.
