IND Vs AUS: The final match of the ICC World Test Championship is to be played between India and Australia. Australia’s upper hand is being considered in this final match starting from 7th June. Former Australia captain Ricky Ponting has also given the reason behind this. Ponting believes that with the conditions closer to Australia’s liking, the Pat Cummins-led side will have a slight edge over India ahead of the World Test Championship final starting at The Oval on Wednesday.

When asked about his favorite team to win the final, Ponting bets on Australia, but only by a margin. He said, “Australia has a slight edge.”
The reason why Australia is the favourite
Ponting said, “Both the teams deserve to be in first and second place.” As far as preparation is concerned, the interesting thing is that some Australian players haven’t done anything, they haven’t played cricket at all.”
Pakistan’s veteran fast bowler Wasim Akram also told Australia’s team a little ahead of India. But he also believes that the toss and weather will be important factors in the game. He said, “I agree with Ricky. Australia is the slight favourite. It also depends on the weather and the toss is also important. And pitch matters too.
Former India head coach Ravi Shastri also felt that Australia are somewhat stronger on paper, but fitness could be a deciding factor. Ravi Shastri said, “I think match fitness can come into play. As Ricky said, you need to play some cricket. It is very different from just bowling in the nets for two hours, four or five days, six days.
