Linda Yacarino took over as the new CEO of Twitter, given important responsibilities


Twitter New CEO: Linda Yacarino has taken over as the new CEO of Twitter from Monday. Yacarino, the former president of Global Advertising and Partnerships at NBCUniversal, has also hired NBCUniversal Executive Vice President Joe Benaroche to work with him on Twitter. According to a report published late Sunday night in the Wall Street Journal (WSJ), Benaroche has been Yacarino’s trusted advisor.

“Tomorrow, I’m starting a different profession at Twitter, focusing on business operations,” Benaroche wrote in the WSJ memo. “I look forward to bringing my experience to Twitter and working with the entire team to build Twitter 2.0 together,” he added.

Yacarino said last month that he was ready to create Twitter 2.0 and transform the business together with Musk and millions of platform users. He posted on Twitter, I have been inspired by the vision of Bright Future for a long time. I’m excited to bring this vision to Twitter and help transform this business.

Actually Elon Musk aims to focus more on Tesla and SpaceX. Musk will work with Yacarino to transform the platform into an X, everything app, like China’s WeChat.

Yacarino oversaw nearly 2,000 employees at NBC Universal. His team has generated over $100 billion in advertising sales and has partnered with companies including Apple, Snapchat, BuzzFeed, Twitter and YouTube.
