Nawada: An 11-member family of the district had a narrow escape in the Odisha train accident. All the members of this family were aboard the passenger train in which this accident took place. All were going to Chennai for employment. The victim’s family is said to be residents of Turiyadih village of Kauakol block of the district. After returning from Odisha to Bihar, all reached Nawada Sadar Hospital for better treatment, where civil surgeon Ram Kumar Prasad met all the injured and inquired about their condition. At the same time, eyewitnesses told that during the accident, the bogies of the train started climbing on each other, there was a stir in the bogie. Everyone was struggling to save their lives.

Going to Chennai in search of work

It is being told that an 11-member family of Nawada was going to Chennai by Coromandel Express. Everyone was going in search of work. During this the train met with an accident. The injured include Nandu Das, Karishma Devi, Balmukund Turia, Vinod Turia, Rajesh Turia, Sanju Devi, Madhu Kumarin, Shivarti Kumarin and Deepak Kumar, residents of Turiyadih village in Kauakol block of the district.

Among the dead, Mithlesh Rai alias Mithu of Kapasia village of Kauakol police station area, Pappu Manjhi, son of Badri Manjhi of Madra village of Roh block, is said to be among the dead. After the incident, the family of the deceased is in bad condition by crying. At the same time, tell that at least 288 people have died and more than 1100 people have been injured in the Odisha train accident.
