In today’s modern lifestyle, it has become common to store leftover food in the fridge. Knowingly the office going people prepare extra food so that they can have convenience the next day. But our biggest question is that do we store the leftover food in the fridge. But is it okay to keep food in plastic utensils? Many people keep only kitchen utensils in the fridge. Whereas some people use glass utensils. But today we are talking about those people who store leftover food in plastic utensils. Plastic is something that we use comfortably and the best thing is that there is no fear of breakage. 

Are plastic containers safe to keep in the fridge?

To keep it in the fridge, we use such a utensil which is safe, that means there is no fear of breaking. But is plastic safe according to health. One thing is often said about plastic that it is not considered good to cook, or heat, refrigerate or store food in it. In today’s time, plastic is considered safe according to microwave and oven, but it is not safe according to health. In this case, you can use aluminum foil instead of packing food in plastic utensils. 

Polyethylene terephthalate

Polyethylene available in the market Terephthalate plastic containers are considered the best. This plastic utensil can be used twice after cleaning it with water. But by repeatedly washing it, the chemicals found in it get mixed in food or water. In such a situation, if there is any kind of problem in the utensil, then throw it away and do not use it. 

Use bio plastic

If you have to store the leftover food, then use bio plastic. Bio plastic is used to make plastic cups, plates. Corn, potatoes, sugarcane are used to make it.
