After the invitation from the government, the wrestlers have reached the Union Sports Minister’s residence in New Delhi on Wednesday (June 7) to meet him. A day earlier on Tuesday, Union Sports Minister Anurag Thakur had sent an invitation for talks to the wrestlers. Anurag Thakur tweeted and wrote, the government is willing to discuss with the wrestlers. I have once again called the wrestlers for talks.
After the call of the Union Minister, the wrestlers held a meeting in Sonepat on Wednesday and decided to go to the meeting. After this the wrestlers left for Delhi to hold talks. Earlier on June 3, the agitating wrestlers had met Union Home Minister Amit Shah. This was seen as an attempt by the government to break the deadlock in the case of wrestlers.
On June 5, two days after meeting the Home Minister, Sakshi Malik and Bajrang Punia went to the office to attend to some work related to their jobs in the Railways. It was claimed that these wrestlers distanced themselves from the performance. However, both had made it clear that they had not given up their fight. He also said that if he has to leave the job, he will leave it.

On April 28, two FIRs were registered against BJP MP Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh at the Connaught Place police station of Delhi Police on the complaint of wrestlers.
