Anti-terrorism court sent Khadija Shah to judicial custody


PTI Khadija Shah: Pakistan’s Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) on Thursday (June 8) arrested Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) activist and former Finance Minister Dr Salman Shah’s daughter Khadija Shah in the Jinnah House attack case. Sent to jail on seven days judicial custody. According to the report of Pakistani ARY News, in the case of Jinnah House attack, many other women activists including PTI activist Khadija Shah were presented before ATC Lahore by the police.

Seven days judicial custody approved
During the hearing in the Anti-Terrorism Court of Lahore, the Investigating Officer (IO) sought extension of physical remand of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) activists for further investigation in the case. After examining the records related to the case, the Anti-Terrorism Court judge rejected the plea of ​​the Investigating Officer (IO) and granted Khadija judicial custody for seven days.

In the Jinnah House attack case, the police arrested Khadija Shah, daughter of former Finance Minister Salman Shah and fashion designer, on the 9th of last month. Khadija allegedly surrendered before SSP CIA Police Malik Liaquat in Iqbal Town Lahore. The Punjab Police raided three places but failed to arrest Khadija, the designer allegedly involved in the Jinnah House attack.

He said that Khadija had taken refuge in Mehr Tareen’s house, when she ran away from the scene of the raid. Police had said that Khadija had left an hour before the police team arrived wearing a burqa to hide her identity.
