Channels will not use end-to-end encryption
WhatsApp said in a blog post that unlike traditional WhatsApp messages, channels will not use end-to-end encryption to reach a wider audience. The company says that end-to-end encrypted channels may be introduced in the future for groups like NGOs or health organizations that want their communication to be more secure.
