UP Crime News: Rampur police has arrested a youth from West Bengal. The youth is accused of pressurizing the minor girl for marriage and conversion. Supai-ul-Haq, a resident of Siliguri, had created a fake ID on Facebook. Posing as a girl with an ID named Alisha, she befriended a minor girl from Milak police station area. Both started talking through messages. Both exchanged each other’s numbers. The conversation on the call revealed that Alisha is not a girl but a boy. The conversation between the two continued. The girl refused to have a love affair when she came to know that the boy was a Muslim. The boy reached Milak in search of the girl from Siliguri.
Young man from West Bengal came to Rampur in search of a girl
After searching, he chased the girl for three days and started threatening her. It is alleged that he threatened to kill if he did not change his marriage and religion. On the complaint, the police registered a case under various sections and arrested the accused youth. Additional Superintendent of Police Sansar Singh told that the girl is 16 years old. Some time ago a friend request came on Facebook. The ID was in the name of Alisha. Messages started being exchanged between the two. Each other’s phone numbers were also taken.
Allegations of pressuring for marriage and religious conversion
On starting the conversation, it was revealed that Alisha is a boy and is a Muslim. The girl refused the love affair citing religion. The boy went to meet in search of the girl. In Milak, the accused was following the girl. On the way to go to coaching for three days, he started threatening the girl. The boy was pressurizing her to marry and convert. A case has been registered against the accused. The name of the youth living in Siliguri, West Bengal is Supai-ul-Haq. A case has been registered under molestation, conversion and POCSO Act. The accused boy is being sent to jail.
