US China Relations: Prime Minister Narendra Modi (Narendra Modi) will be on a tour of America from 21 to 24 June this month. There, President Joe Biden and his wife Jill Biden will host a ‘state dinner’ for Modi. Teams of foreign and defense ministries of both the countries have gathered to make this visit of Modi memorable. It is being said that America wants India’s cooperation to counter China. On the other hand, America has sent its diplomats to China before Modi’s visit.
Why American diplomats went to China, this question is arising in the minds of many experts. Some believe that America itself is engaged in improving relations with China, while on the other hand it wants to see a conflict between India and China. China often says that India is following the directions of America and hence the tension on the border increases. At the same time, many Indian defense experts believe that America does not want friendship between India and China.
America’s representative reached China
According to Beijing’s China Media Group, US State Department Assistant Secretary for Asia-Pacific Affairs Daniel Joseph Krittenbrink and White House National Security Council Senior Director for China Sarah Beran visited China. During this, Chinese Vice Foreign Minister Ma Chaoshu met him. He had a meeting with Yang Tao, director general of the Department of American and Oceania Affairs of the Chinese Foreign Ministry.
Talk on improving Sino-US relations, resolving differences
A report said that the US and Chinese representatives had frank, constructive talks on improving Sino-US relations and properly managing and controlling differences. Both sides stressed on the resolution of tensions in accordance with the consensus reached between the top leaders of the two countries in Bali, Indonesia last November. In the conversation, China clarified its serious stand on major issues like Taiwan. Along with this, both the sides agreed to continue the dialogue.
Tension had increased in the beginning of the year
This conversation between the representatives of America and China is considered very important, because in the same year the tension between the two countries increased rapidly regarding the ‘spy balloon’. At the same time, China cursed America for provoking Taiwan and providing it with weapons. China had even said that it will no longer tolerate American interference in Taiwan.
