BJP MP accuses CM Gehlot’s son Vaibhav Gehlot of corruption, said – will hand over ‘evidence’ to ED


Rajasthan Election 2023: BJP MP from Rajasthan Kirodi Lal Meena has now come under attack from Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot after he filed a complaint with the Enforcement Directorate (ED) against the Department of Information Technology and Communications (DOIT&C) over an alleged scam of Rs 5,000 crore. Will file a separate complaint against son Vaibhav Gehlot to the agency on Friday. His team told that MP Meena will reach the ED office on Friday and hand over ‘evidence’ against Vaibhav Gehlot and Fairmont Hotel owner Ratankant Sharma.

The BJP MP alleged that a shell company from Mauritius has invested around Rs 100 crore in Hotel Fairmont. The BJP MP alleged that the money belonged to Gehlot and his family members, which was earlier sent to Mauritius through hawala channel. Addressing a press conference at the BJP headquarters on Thursday, Kirori Lal Meena accused Ashok Gehlot, his son Vaibhav Gehlot and daughter-in-law Himanshi Gehlot of making illegal investments of crores of rupees in the Five Star Heritage Hotel business by making fake and dummies.

Allegations on alleged irregularities in the hotel
Kirori Lal Meena demanded an inquiry from the ED alleging illegal land conversion, illegal construction, grazing land and encroachment on the land of the Irrigation Department. Meena mainly pointed to alleged irregularities at Raffles Hotel in Udaipur, Taj Aravalli Hotel, Nimdi Palace in Mount Abu and Fairmont Hotel in Jaipur.

Allegations of involvement in benami business
The BJP MP alleged that Vaibhav Gehlot and Himanshi Gehlot are involved in benami business in Fairmont Hotel with money invested from Mauritius and further transferred part of the profit made from the said business to Sunlight Car Rental Services Pvt Ltd, a dummy company of Vaibhav Gehlot going.
