Pakistan Donkey Growth: The Pakistan Economic Survey (PES) revealed that the number of donkeys in the country has increased by 1 lakh during a year. In the annual survey report released by the Ministry of Finance, the data of the achievements of the government during the last financial year has been presented. According to the report of PES, Pakistan has seen an increase in the population of animals, which are proving helpful in increasing the economic growth of the country.

The report of Pakistan Economic Survey (PES) revealed that the number of donkeys in Pakistan has increased from 57 lakhs to 58 lakhs in a year. These donkeys are generally used in transport, agriculture and other fields.

According to the report of Pakistan Economic Survey, the number of cattle in the country has increased by 21 million (2 crore 10 lakh). After this increase, the total number of cattle in the country has increased from 53 crore 40 lakh to 55 crore 50 lakh. This increase can be attributed to the importance of cattle in Pakistan’s agricultural sector, where they play an important role in plowing fields, providing milk, and being used as a source of meat and hides. In addition to the increase in donkeys and cattle, the survey noted an increase in the number of buffaloes and sheep.

Contribution of animals in Pakistan’s economy
The population of buffaloes has increased by 13 lakhs, reaching a total of 30 lakhs, while the number of sheep has seen an increase of four lakhs, taking the number of sheep to 32 million (3 crore 20 lakhs). Apart from this, an increase was also observed in the population of goats, the number of goats has increased to 84 lakh 70 thousand. About 35 to 40 percent of the income is earned from animal husbandry in Pakistan.

Livestock has played an important role in the economy of Pakistan. During the last financial year in Pakistan, the number of earnings increased from 5,390 billion year 2023 5,593 billion, which is a total increase of 3.8 percent.
