BJP on Raghuram Rajan: Raghuram Rajan, former governor of the Reserve Bank of India, has come under attack from the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party. Attacking Raghuram Rajan, Union Minister of State for Information Technology Rajiv Chandrasekhar said that he had ruined the entire banking system while holding the post of RBI Governor.
Told Raghuram Rajan a failed economist
Attacking Raghuram Rajan, Rajiv Chandrasekhar said that he should decide whether he is a failed politician or a failed economist. He said that we all know that when he was on the post of Governor of Reserve Bank of India, he had ruined the entire banking system and financial sector.

Ravi Shankar Prasad had said sponsored expert
Rajeev Chandrasekhar is not the first BJP leader who has attacked Raghuram Rajan. Earlier, on June 1, 2023, the very next day after the announcement of 7.2 percent GDP figures for the financial year 2022-23, BJP’s national spokesperson Ravi Shankar Prasad also attacked Raghuram Rajan on the pretext of Congress leader Rahul Gandhi. Taking a dig at Raghuram Rajan, he said that all the predictions of the sponsored experts have proved wrong.
Bharat Jodo Yatra came under attack
Ever since Raghuram Rajan joined Rahul Gandhi in his Bharat Jodo Yatra, the former RBI governor has come under BJP’s target. During the Bharat Jodo Yatra, Rahul Gandhi had also interviewed Raghuram Rajan regarding the domestic and global economic situation. In the same interview, Raghuram Rajan had said that in the next financial year 2023-24, India would be lucky if it achieves the GDP figure of 5 per cent. GDP has been 7.2 percent in 2022-23, since then questions are being raised on Raghuram Rajan’s prediction and his statement is being severely criticized.
