Death Threat To Sharad Pawar: Maharashtra Chief Minister after receiving death threats to Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) chief Sharad Pawar on social media Eknath Shinde And Deputy CM Devendra Fadnavis has given assurance of action. What did the police say?
A senior police officer told that taking cognizance of the matter, the Mumbai Police is registering an FIR. A delegation of NCP workers led by Pawar’s daughter and Lok Sabha member Supriya Sule met Mumbai Police chief Vivek Phansalkar and demanded action.

Senior NCP leader Ajit Pawar said that the threat message was sent by a person named Sourav Pimpalkar, whose social media profile says he is a BJP supporter. He said that instead of misusing the freedom of expression, one should fight the ideological battle in a civilized manner.

NCP leaders told the police that Pawar (82) received a message on Facebook which read, “Unka too (Narendra) will meet Dabholkar’s fate.” On August 20, 2013, Narendra Dabholkar, who fought against superstition, was shot dead by unknown bike-borne assailants during his morning walk in Pune.
