Rajasthan Congress: The Congress expressed hope on Saturday that a positive solution would be found to the matter amid ongoing speculation about the next step of former Rajasthan Deputy Chief Minister Sachin Pilot. The party has given this statement a day before the program to be held on June 11 on the death anniversary of Pilot’s father and veteran Congress leader Rajesh Pilot. This program is to be held in Dausa, Rajasthan.
When asked about the developments in Rajasthan, Congress spokesperson Supriya Shrinate said, “Our party president (Kharge) and we believe that a positive solution will be found to this issue.” Congress General Secretary KC Venugopal had said on Friday that it is all a rumor that Pilot will leave the party and form his own party.

When asked about the speculation related to the next step of the pilot, KC Venugopal said, ‘I do not believe in rumours. The reality is that the Congress President (Mallikarjun Kharge) and Rahul Gandhi discussed with Ashok Gehlot ji and Sachin Pilot ji and after that we had said that we will fight the elections unitedly. This is the stand of the Congress party. Apart from this there is nothing.

However, sources close to Pilot say that action should be taken on the issues raised by the former Deputy Chief Minister. Recently, it was said in some news that Pilot may soon form a separate party, although sources close to him said that at present, his full attention is on the demands that he has been raising continuously for the last few months. Pilot recently made three demands, including the dissolution and reconstitution of the Rajasthan Public Service Commission (RPSC), compensation to youths affected by the leak of government exam papers and high-level investigation into corruption charges against the previous Vasundhara Raje-led BJP government. Recently, after the marathon meeting of party president Mallikarjun Kharge and former president Rahul Gandhi with Gehlot and Pilot, the Congress had said that the two leaders have agreed to fight the upcoming assembly elections unitedly and the high command will resolve the issues between them. Party’s organization general secretary KC Venugopal had also said that Gehlot and Pilot have agreed to the party’s proposal. However, he did not give any details about this.
