IAS Officers Become Entrepreneurs: In India, the Indian Administrative Service (IAS) is recognized as one of the most prestigious jobs. Most of the students dream of becoming an IAS, but only a few people get selected in it. Once selected in this, there is no need to think about any other career. However, there were some IAS and IPS in India who quit their jobs and started business and became entrepreneurs. Here some such IAS and IPS officers have been told.

Youngest IAS officer Roman Saini

Roman Saini became the youngest IAS officer in 2014. He cracked the UPSC Civil Services Examination in the first attempt itself. Earlier, at the age of 16, he cleared the AIIMS entrance exam and completed MBBS. After becoming a doctor, he worked as a junior resident in NDDTC in psychiatry.

After becoming IAS, he was appointed as Collector in Madhya Pradesh. After this, he also left this job to become an entrepreneur. He founded Unacademy, an online coaching platform and today it has become a successful online coaching center.

left the job of police commissioner

Rajan Singh had served as Thiruvananthapuram Police Commissioner for three years during his eight years of service. He left his job to try his hand in corporate. In 2016, he launched Conceptowl, an online learning platform that prepares students for entrance exams.

Left the post of IAS for affordable health services

Syed Sabahat Azim, a doctor by profession, became an IAS officer of the 2000 batch. Later he left the service and introduced the Glocal Healthcare System. It is a healthcare chain that provides affordable healthcare. Glocal has 11 hospitals in the country.

Left the post of IAS officer for vegetable

Pravesh Sharma was a 1982 batch IAS officer. He voluntarily retired from his service in 2016 and started Sabziwala, a retail fruits and vegetables startup. Its objective was to make facilities available to all at reasonable prices.
