French News: A preliminary charge of attempted murder was laid on Saturday (10 June) against the suspect who attacked young children with a knife in the French city of Annecy. According to Aljazeera’s report, the 31-year-old man suspected of carrying out this barbaric attack is a Syrian refugee and a permanent resident of Sweden. The name of the accused has not been released due to security reasons.
Public prosecutor Laine Bonnet-Mathis told about the incident that the accused were presented before the judges in the city of Annecy on Saturday and the charges were framed. He has been kept in custody for further investigation. He told that the accused also has a three-year-old daughter and his wife is living in Sweden.
Attack on children of four countries
Significantly, on June 8 (Thursday), a man attacked the children playing in the park on the banks of the pond with a knife. A total of seven people including six children were injured in this incident, who are still fighting the battle between life and death in the hospital. The innocent children who were attacked are from four different countries – France, Britain, Netherlands and Portugal.
According to the report, the suspect who attacked the children was claimed to be mentally ill, but doctors after examining found him to be completely healthy. However, the motive of the attacker is not yet clear. It is still being investigated why he made innocent children his target.

According to the police, around 9:45 am on Thursday, children were playing in the park near the pond. Then the accused suddenly reached there. He had a knife in his hand. He attacked the children blindly with a knife without thinking. Six children were injured in this incident. Another person was also injured in an attempt to stop him. The accused was arrested from the spot.
