‘China has been spying since 2019’, America said on disclosure of intelligence base in Cuba

According to a Wall Street Journal report, the Biden administration claimed China had a spy center in Cuba, and officials said the facility was one of dozens China has set up, or is planning to set up. has demanded. US officials said China wants to expand intelligence gathering and other military operations around the world.

‘Using Cuba to Monitor America’
Citing new unclassified intelligence, a Biden administration official said that a spy center has existed in Cuba for at least 4 years, and through it China was collecting sensitive information from the US. However, on the condition of anonymity, the official refused to tell when the ‘spy centre’ was set up. The Guardian reported that the US official says that China has been using Cuba as an espionage base for years. On the other hand, China has told the allegations of America as a lie.

The two countries also clashed over the spying balloon.
Earlier this year, the US had destroyed a giant balloon flying in the sky over its Montana territory. That balloon belonged to China, and America had then said that China was spying by sending huge balloons. The fighter plane of the US Air Force shot down the Chinese balloon in the air itself. After which the tension between China and America increased rapidly. China said that it was not a spy balloon, but a balloon to collect weather information.
