Forests of the largest Central Asian country burning with fire, 60 thousand hectares of area destroyed


Kazakhstan Forest Fire: There has been a fierce fire in the forests of Kazakhstan, which was a part of the Soviet Union (Russia). Millions of animals and birds lost their lives in the fire and some human settlements were destroyed. Till now half burnt bodies of 14 people have been found there. More than 1,000 fire brigade personnel have been deployed to extinguish the fire.

Kazakhstan’s Emergency Situations Ministry said in a statement, “There is a fire in the country’s north-eastern forests. That fire has so far burnt trees, plants, animals and human settlements standing on 60,000 hectares (148,000 acres) of land.” 14 human bodies have been found. And, the search is on for the trapped forest rangers.” The ministry said that 316 people were evacuated from the scene during the rescue operation, but the situation was getting out of control due to high temperature and change in wind direction.

‘This fire in the forests started due to lightning’
According to the UNI report, in this fire incident, the spread of fire to some houses has also been stopped. At the same time, on Saturday, Kazakhstan’s President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev sacked Yuri Ilyin, Minister of the Emergency Situations Ministry. Local officials say that this fire in the forests started due to lightning on Thursday. There are now more than 1,000 people fighting the blaze, mostly from the Defense and Emergency Situations Ministry.

Russian President Putin expressed grief
The President of Russia has expressed condolences on the confirmation of the death of more than a dozen people in the fire. Russian President Vladimir Putin expressed his condolences to Kazakhstan President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev.

Earlier this country was a part of USSR
Kazakhstan is located in Eurasia. It is the ninth largest country in the world by area. Its area is 2,724,900 sq km. This country was earlier a part of the Soviet Union. After the dissolution of the Soviet Union in 1991, it finally declared itself independent.
