Ashneer Grover on Income Tax: Former co-founder of BharatPe, Ashneer Grover, who has been in the news continuously for his statements, is once again in discussion about one of his statements. A statement by Ashneer Grover regarding the current tax structure of the country is going viral on social media. Ashneer Grover has taken a very sharp dig at the current tax system. He believes that the current tax system of the country is very complicated. He said that without giving any benefit to the taxpayers, the government collects 30 to 40 percent of its earnings as tax. Ashneer Grover said that paying tax in India is like a punishment.
Ashneer Grover, a former judge of Shark Tank India, said that taxpayers are doing charity work in the country. He said that no benefit is being given to the taxpayers. Ashneer Grover said that I knew that out of 10 rupees I would earn, the government would keep 4 rupees. That is, out of 12 months that you are working, you are working for the government for five months. He said that just think for how many years you will have to do slavery to the government in your whole life. But we all have accepted it.
Ashneer Grover said that the entrepreneurs have come to know this, so they do not pay tax. But salaried people have no option. TDS is deducted on their income. That’s why tax is nothing less than punishment. Apart from this, you are also paying 18% GST. He asked the question, for whom are you living like this?

Ashneer Grover said in another video that if he ever becomes a politician, reducing the income tax rate will be his biggest priority. He said that if the government fixes the tax rate at 10 to 15 percent and no one is allowed to evade tax, then the government will earn more from tax. Last month, Ashneer Grover strongly criticized the government’s notification to levy 20% TCS on international credit card spends. He sarcastically said that tax exemption is available on political donations.
