NIA seeks public’s help to identify those who attacked Indian High Commission in London


Indian High Commission in UK Attack Case: The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has started an investigation into the protests and vandalism by Khalistan supporters outside the Indian High Commission in London in the month of March this year. The NIA has sought the public’s help in identifying those involved in violent demonstrations and attempts to sabotage. For this, the NIA has also released the CCTV footage of the day of the incident.

In fact, the NIA is probing the conspiracy that took place during the pro-Khalistan protest outside the Indian High Commission in London, the capital of Britain. Earlier, the agency had received inputs about the involvement of Pakistani intelligence agency ISI in the conspiracy during the protest. After this, the Union Home Ministry had given the green signal to get the investigation done by the NIA.

Sabotage attempt in High Commission

On March 19, Khalistan supporters protested outside the Indian High Commission in London over the police action against Amritpal and his supporters in Punjab. During this, Khalistan supporters pulled down the tricolor on the High Commission building and tried to vandalize the High Commission. A video of the incident had also surfaced in which a protester is seen climbing onto the balcony of the High Commission and then pulling down the Indian flag.

India had expressed displeasure

India had expressed strong displeasure over this incident and summoned the officials of the British High Commission in Delhi. India had demanded Britain to identify the culprits and take action against them, along with ensuring that such incidents do not happen again and ensure the security of the High Commission.
