UPSC Prelims Result 2023 OUT: Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has released the results of Civil Services Preliminary Examination today. Which candidates can see by visiting the official website upsc.gov.in. Candidates can follow the steps given here to check their result.
This year the preliminary examination of Civil Services was held on 28 May 2023. The commission has declared a total of 14624 candidates successful in this examination. The successful candidates will now appear for the main examination. Mains exam will be organized from 15th September. Along with Civil Services Exam, UPSC has also declared the result of Forest Service Exam.

Why is this exam conducted?
UPSC conducts Civil Services Examination (UPSC CSE) every year. For which lakhs of candidates apply. Candidates who are successful in the exam get the opportunity to choose the services and cadres like IFS, IAS, IPS etc. according to their rank. Out of the candidates who apply for the exam, only a few of the candidates are successful in this exam. The candidate has to appear in the preliminary examination first. After that the main exam is conducted. Whereas in the end the interview is organized.
